Got this idea from my brother. How about a new TOH with shock absorption. The idea is to prevent the device from damage after falling, with the help of some kinda shock absorbing unit in TOH. I am not sure how feasible it is and how to do it if at all feasible. But if anyone is interested, they can give it a try.

I too thought about something like this, essentially make a TOH with something like this stuck to the back and sides.
The main issue is how to protect the front of the phone, and not covering up the buttons and ports. Can use a flexable rubber style wrap around like most phone cases I guess.
But honestly, other than doing a typical silicone wrap case like you can get for any phone, I dont see how you can specifically take advantage of the TOH design to do anything unique for the Jolla in this regard
Yesterday I dropped MyPrecious and now the front glass is in pieces... =( A protective TOH was needed.
What if the protection would go few millimeters around the corners of the phone and something like 1mm higher/above the glass? And it should be like other TOHs, easy to remove/replace, so one could attach the protective TOH only when needed.

I think Jolla should include external camera template in the toh kit so toh developers won't worry about covering the rear camera especially the QWERTY toh

If you can't wait until an appropriate TOH is invented, you can do some nice stuff with sugru, too:
