There are many sites that don't recognise the native browser as being a mobile browser and as a result, don't offer the html5 version of videos for viewing on the device. It's not an issue with the browser, it's an issue with faulty detection being used by those websites. You should complain to the websites.
If you want to do something more general to improve the situation then you could try buying a WURFL , DeviceAtlas or 51degrees license and complaining that it doesn't work, or getting involved with the OpenDDR project.
That's not a good answer. The user wants things to work seamlessly.
Contacting individual sites achieves nothing because all they tell you is that it works for everyone else.
Slavov Welsinksi ( 2013-12-29 16:02:55 +0300 )editBack in the early part of this century when many websites were written for IE, Mozilla had an advocacy department which reached out to individual websites and helped them improve while Opera added a load of features to their browser so it could pretend to be IE. Mozilla's approach was better.

But for the moment Sailfish is not known and if the first users see to many inconveniences they will not adopt the OS. While working on the marketing part, a temporary solution would be great to attrack people to Sailfish.

I experienced the same. Browser needs to be improved, let them time to do it. Maybe for January :-)
