Just wrote in a magazine about an interesting approach to store your passwords. Just have a look here. As far as I understood the source of the software is GPL. I like that approach not to save all my passwords on my device. Would be nice to have this app as a native app on my jolla

'ownKeepass' native app might help you... It is released under GPL version 2 (as described in the app description)

Hi nazanin, I know, there are a few password safe solutions out there. But please check the infos on the site. This solution does not save your passwords somewhere. This is an completely different approach or better said "unlike" ;-)

the most annoying thing about generated passwords is that you may not remember any of them - I'd love to have something like (or just) passwordsafe + owncloud or webdav sync - you will remember even long passwords if you can make them up with something like Iwant2drivecrazy it is already more secure than any 8 digit random generated password... reading and typing a password with !"§%&/()*'#+ in it lower+upper-case letters and so on is a pain and will always be.

@chemist nope, you do not need to remember the generated passwords. That is the "unlike" thing. Let me quote from the FAQ Master Password has been engineered not to store any secrets on your phone. The secret is your master password and it is only in your head. You enter it when opening the app at which point Master Password remembers it only as long as you leave the app open. Once you ask the app for a site's password, your master password is used to calculate the site's password Just want to encourage you to read the FAQ and the Algorithm page. Maybe I can convince you ;)

What you are looking for is PwdHash in harbour (jolla store) pwdhash.com there is a FF plugin as well.

That looks good, thank you for the pointers. Only issue I can see is that there is no variable/counter in case a new password is needed for a site you already had a generated pwd for.
