Ukrainian keyboard layout

My native language is Ukrainian and it would be really nice to be able to write in Ukrainian on Jolla. The Ukrainian alphabet differs from Russian by having some letters that are not present in the Russian alphabet: Ґ, ґ, І, і, Ї, ї, Є, є. Also, some Russian letters aren't present in Ukrainian alphabet: Ъ, ъ, Ы, ы, Э, э. I don't care about UI language or predictive text input, I just need an easy way to input Ukrainian characters.

I reopened the question, because I don't want to reinstall Ukrainian layout after every update, I want it to come with the OS.

So I followed the instructions in http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=91917 thread and made Ukrainian layout.

Unfortunately, Igorion's split mode change wasn't available anymore, but I used Russian layout as a reference.

You can download it from here: https://copy.com/VxI34wvMk9BZ. Unpack it to /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com/jolla/layouts/ and restart your phone or execute systemctl --user restart maliit-server.service from the terminal.

~~Letter Ґ can be accessed through long pressing Г. I also added Ukrainian Hryvnia symbol (₴) there but it seems that it's not supported by the font.~~

Не працює, скопіював як треба, але в параметрах клавіатури немає Української. Робив systemctl --user restart maliit-server.service та перезагружав.

Just create an Ukrainian keyboard yourself. It is not hard in anyway. Read and follow the instructions or request here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=91917

Thanks for letting me know, I'll definitely try this method. But it would be nice if Jolla includes this layout out of the box, so people don't have to hack their phones.
