Creating an event "Büro" (containing the german umlaut "ü") does not get synced to a davical based server, using "Buero" instead works. Other clients (N9, ThunderBird Lightning, etc.) do not show this problem thus the davical server should be fine.

Fixed in Sailfish 1.1.1.26, Vaarainjärvi, account re-creation might be needed in some cases, if you still have issues please comment here.
With Vaarainjärvi (1.1.1.27) the umlaut-containing events are synced properly. However, if you happen to have a messed up event on your server side already (e.g. from using previous Sailfishes), that still prevents the sync of all events of the calendar containing the messed up event.
