When I silence my phone and switch off the vibration notifications, it works well for native apps. However, for Android apps like WeChat, I still get vibrations for every message received. That's pretty annoying at night if I leave WeChat running, the phone is vibrating the whole night. My only solution is to close the app before to go to sleep.

Anyway, when turning off the vibration notifications, Dalvik shouldn't over-ride this setting. Please correct this vibration notification bug.

Mostly, this problem occurs with WeChat, but I guess it's relevant to any Android apps.

Edit 2015-07-21:

Noticed today that this bug is still there in 1.1.7.24. I had my phone in silent (no sounds, no vibration alerts) and every time I had a message to Messenger, the phone vibrated.

I think you're using coderus' app "android notifications"? Cause usually you don't get vibration feedback if display is black... If you're using android notifications it's not a bug of sailfish OS cause it's not a habour approved app. You should open an issue on the github site...

No, not using the Android notifications app, I know about the app - I don't use it. This is a Dalvik issue, or issue in the latest update, since before the notifications worked (when the app was open). Now they just don't. EDIT: If I were using the Android notifications app - I would have said I'm using the app.

I finally didn't get it ^^ You leave your phone on with screen on or off? I didn't even get a notification with screen turned off, therefore I installed android notifications... ;)

Screen on or off, doesn't matter the Messenger app vibrates on a new message even if the sounds and vibration alerts are off from SFOS settings.
