It would be nice if the integrated facebook messenger could share photos, like the android app can do.

It does already. Open Gallery, select pic, tap to go in split view, share, Facebook.

Ps. our UX concept is task centric not app centric.

i think what @zbenjamin means is to send someone a private (facebook-)message with a photo in it. not to share a photo on a wall on facebook. thats not possible at the moment i think...or is there some sharing feature i have missed?

@stezz And you can't change the destination folder IF you share it to the Facebook!? It always upload them to: "Mobiililähetykset Jollasta" (sended from Jolla). Should it be replaseable?

Duplicate of this question: https://together.jolla.com/question/38304/facebook-message-photo/ I will mark this as duplicate even this question is older. Reason: other question also includes receiving pictures.. :)

Edit: Question reopened.

But this has double the amount of votes, and sending pictures implies that receiving pictures should also be possible.

Good practice is that the newer is selected as a duplicate of the older one, no exceptions. If the older is missing some feature request the newer includes in addition to the common part, new question should be created for that. Alternatively the newer question title/description can be modified to handle the new feature only, and not marked as duplicate. In this case I agree with @nthn that sending pictures in a chat implies also that receiving should be possible, so no additional request needed
