It seems that with the latest SW version the camera app is fairly slow in making the actual image after the shutter is pressed. Is there anything that could be done to make it more responsive? I think that at some stage the situation wasn't as bad as it is now... Anybody got similar feelings?

What if you restart your Jolla? Still the same?

I encountered the same issue, this was also before i did a factory reset to my jolla after having many issues (unresponsive camera, no audio from android apps, browser crash, etc). I believe it was due to lack of space. After transferring everything from internal memory to sd and pc, everything was working normally again, even camera. Hope this helped.

Well I'm struggling quite a bit with my Jolla, I think it is related mostly to memory consumption. When the device is fresly booted it takes IMHO still too long to start up the camera app and lag between images. In best case it is about 3-4 sec, but when there is a lot of apps open it can take a lot more. Did factory reset a while ago and the device is now a bit better.

are you sure it's worse in the latest update? maybe you're just less tolerant of it. it's always been pretty poor ...

Im also finding this. It used to be quite snappy when you pressed the shutter, but now quite often takes a few seconds to register
