when there are too many items and we are at the bottom, we have to scroll up many times then we could use the pulley menu. why not design a top bar for them ,like warehouse ,which makes using pulley menu much easier .

I would guess the Gallery App is effectively a placeholder, at least as far as features and UX are concerned. Seems like a first pass. It's so incredibly basic, and AFAIK hasn't been touched since pre-release. UI as you point out is poor, folders are completely missing and zoom is barely a zoom at all (even though apparently changing 2 lines of code gives proper zoom). Navigating back to the camera app after viewing a photo is also terribly handled, and often it fails to recognise the necessary swipe.

Re: Store .... I assume that will receive a major overhaul when paid app support is implemented, and hopefully the almost blanket ban on anything interesting is lifted. In April, Jolla said in a dev e-mail that paid app support is "planned for H2" (July to December).

I for one don't like sticky PageHeaders like in Warehouse. Using Fastscroll you can easily scroll to the top in a fast way. This way there is more place for the content, who needs to know the title of the page when you're only interested in the content?

While I agree with @lukedirtwalker, I still think there's a need for such an option. I guess it's up to some genius to come up with a solution that is beautiful yet efficient.

I just thought of a shortcut to access the pulley menu from anywhere in a list, without a sticky header: quickly swipe up and down twice (keeping your finger on the screen, and only moving it 1-2cm) to open the pulley menu. It doesn't seem too hard to use, doesn't require more than one finger, and I don't think many people will quickly swipe up and down twice in regular usage so it wouldn't interfere with that.

It could also be shorter by getting rid of the first swipe up, but it seems less easy to me to swipe down first.

That could work, hard to say without testing!

but how to show tips for those who don't know the feature?

Good question! Maybe the first time (or couple of times) someone scrolls down a list that has a pulley menu at the top, show a tip that says 'to access the pulley menu, scroll back to the top or do ...'.

but I think it's a bit unintuitive
