Problem: The mobile-data doesn't work out-of-the-box: You switch on the mobile data, after a few secs appear a notification that says Problem with connection, and the mobil-data option goes back to disabled state.

Solution: Go to the moblie network menu, then long press the mobile-data switch button, then select edit. You see here the Access point name which says apn. Then delete the apn text and insert online. Save the changes, and now you should have a working mobile data connection.

This modification helped me to made my mobile-data working at Telenor, Hungary. In short Telenor HU

Since I first installed sailfish on Nokia N9 I wasn't able to find, where exactly to change the APN.

Jolla has hidden this setting too much.

Thank you. Think this might be important for others. Certain countries and providers require you to change the APN to in order to use a different data-plan.

For better visibility - I think, this question should be renamed to "How-To: change APN".

Edit: Another caveeat: The current mobile accesspoint's name is greyed out if you don't have mobile-data-reception at the moment. As a result you can only edit it's setting, when it is not greyed out - when you have good enough signal.

I own my jolla for not even a week, but I found it instanly. :) But you are right, it's not so obvious, i'll put it in the title.

With o2 germany using roaming in france, setting the APN to "internet" worked for me. See also: https://together.jolla.com/question/4664/roaming-data-connection-does-not-work/#post-id-4682 I would really like to have this issue fixed, even though the solution is simple, it's frustrating when you don't have internet access and cannot research a solution.

Maybe it is just me, but as the "unchecked" (i.e. deactivated) switch looked greyed-out, I didn't expect it to provide a working context menu. That's why I had problems finding this setting.
