I have been thinking that when you have many apps, like 3 pages of them and you are in bottom page of them, you should swipe 3 times to go back to the home screen to be able to see clock example. From app drawer side swipes are not working, no ambiance nor home screen peeking. Only notifications are available.

I do miss the opportunity to go back to the home screen fast. There may be many reasons for that, but common ones might to be to see the time or cover of running app or opening some running app.

Suggestion: Allow peeking and going back to home from app drawer.

Something like that is not much needed if a user utilizes app folders.

You're right, but it would need that there is so many folders that all apps are on the first page of drawer. And actually i think there is same "bug" in folders. If you swipe from top, you end up locking your phone and if you wanna go to the home screen you should swipe first from side and then once downwards. It's little inconvenient to do different directions in a row.

Well, there might second option to allow smooth scrolling (without steps in every 6 row of apps). Then user can easily scroll in top or bottom with quick scroll bar. But I think it won't work in app drawer and app-icons can easily be behind the scroll bar.

but it wouldn't hurt even a folder user. I would very much like this, maybe as a configurable option

You can open and close the events view from anywhere in the launcher (even lock screen) and it will immediately bring you to the home screen. This means you only need to swipe No peeking is possible, of course, but it seems to me like that isn't really necessary as I doubt you would be spending so much time looking at your apps, choosing one to launch, that you would be missing something important going on.
