Hi all!

I have 3 main problems which might be connected.

After creating a new Google account in the settings, I always get the message that I have to authenticate again. And again. And again... (Could this be a problem due to my two Google accounts: my main account, which I choose during authentication and the Youtube-Google account?) If I restart the Jolla phone or ignore the message, then sometimes later everything works.
But, the calendar app has still a problem with my Google account. I have several Google calendars and often only one of them is shown.
It also seems that the account randomly goes online/offline.First, I thought that this may be a problem of the change from mobile internet to WIFI or no WIFI and mobile internet coverage. But, If I have internet connection then it is often impossible to go online with the Google account (and also with my Facebook account).

I tried to delete the account and recreate it. This has not helped.

Update: Since I removed another e-mail account which couldn't sync e-mails, I do not notice the calendar issue.

I have the same issue occasionally - it says that the account is not signed in. I just sign in again and it all works. But I am not sure what is causing it in the 1st place.

i have the same problem with several google calendars. the entries of the last 4 added calendars (work, holidays etc.) disappears, sometimes after a couple of days, sometimes only after one or two weeks. after editing each entry in my google account, everything will be synchronized correctly and shown on my jolla. but then after... see above.
the account randomly goes online/offline

Yes, continuos need for authentication and google calendar events often missing (os 1.0.8.21)

I have the problem with random online / offline status for both my Google and Facebook accounts. Changing them to online after they've gone offline is usually an exercise in frustration.

This happens both on 1.0.8.21 and 1.1.0.39.

I do have problems still on account creation for google. I have tried removing the account completely and I dont have other email accounts.

I first had the continous reauthenticate problem and now when I removed the account, I cannot create it anymore as it doesnt seem to get the accept google privacy statements. The accept button is greyed out on the website.

I have this problem since 2.1.0.11 update... Cannot read gmails via jolla mail app - have to use android gmail app, which is not nice because I prefer to have all mails in one app and I can't read google calendar anymore...

When you add a new device, or try to login from a new location (IP address) Google thinks your account may be under attack. You need to go to Google via a desktop and re-authenticate.

Unfortunately, the reported issues are more likely due to a not so good implementation of the Google account plugin on the phone rather than Google assuming a security issue. The Google account plugin is just flakey. There are several threads on TJC covering this behavior ;-)

I'm just using the one gmail account and haven't seen any problems.

On my iPhone, I have several gmail and other accounts, and I see the Google problem approximately once in three months. Maybe it's something to do with multiple accounts?

i have only one google account and it goes offline randomly on Jolla. On my another phone (corporate WP) i have exactly the same google account which never switches off, both phones are practically always in one pocket.

This did not work.

Now I restart or ignore the problem - and after some time it disappears.

The gmail browser interface shown to my Jolla is old ie. (c)2013, does not allow attachments and the native email application can only read gmail. This is a major problem. My login is meant to be 2-factor.
