On switching between stills and video camera, it would be more efficient to allow it to toggle the setting rather than pulling down the whole menu structure.

my interpretation: have a toggle button (photo/video) directly cam ui, instead of first needing to open the cam settings (pulling down) and there switch between photo/video.

Might be easier just to have two buttons: one takes picture; one starts/stops recording.

I'd like a toggle button for the back/front cameras.to toggle between Foto/Video in my opinion it would be cool to have like two pages. from Fotomode drag left for videomode and then drag right to get back

The swipe gesture in 2.1.3.7 does that for me, doesn't it?

Yes, switching between modes is now much faster and you don't have to pay attention to tapping the correct tiny button, either.

If the pull-down menu would not disappear completly (have states: down, only 1 row down, total up) it could have an instant switch between video/still. Of course, touching a button that needs more options, would scroll down the menu for you. Opinions?

I'd prefer the suggestion in michels comment on the question : use a gesture to toggle between foto and video (swipe left/swipe right) because it will be much faster and easier (especialy in bright sunlight) than trying to hit the menu button.
