Opt-in upgrade doesn't work for me [answered]

Is there some problem with the opt-in upgrade procedure? I sent the needed mail already three times and I'm pretty sure that I used the correct mail (that of my Jolla account). But I do not get the update notification and am not able to upgrade. Is there some problem with it? Or is the opt-in upgrade closed again (allthoug I also tried almost directly after the announcement too)?

For me it took about half an hour from I sent the mail too I was able to upgrade.

If you never received a reply via email prompting you to the update, make sure that the email address you use is the same email address you used to create your Jolla account (the account that uses Jolla Store on your phone) - I know you've already said that, but have one more check of the email you are using - is it the right one?? (I use up to 6 email addresses, it's easy to forget which is which).

As Kim above says, it took about half hour to come through, but I got notification on the phone before I got received the email from Jolla to say "you're opted-in".

"Is the offer closed?" - Good point, it maybe that they have had enough people to fulfil the 'opt-in' slot. I would still be inclined to recheck the email address you used to send your request.

I've just read through the original email from Jolla, I can see nothing about expiry or time limits, only in the respect that the offer of the Aloe TOH lasts until 2 Nov 2014.

Perhaps to email Jolla as a general enquiry, see what they say.

Well, I send one October 22nd and one on friday (24th). But I just saw that those both have been sent from a different mail. So maybe it's my fault after all.

"maybe"? xD

Maybe because I also send one from the correct mail address as I now double checked. And my latest mail I sent 1 hour ago did not lead to an update notification neither to a confirmation email. So in total I sent 5 mails (2 from correct mail address and 3 from a wrong one that do not count)

@Markkyboy: You received a mail that they received your opt-in request? Funny. I didn't. (And I checked my spam folder again right now.) I sent the mail, waited, checked for updates, waited some more... and finally found it after ~30min. - So at least they must have changed something in the handling of opt-in requests if you got such an email and I didn't.

I have sent 2mails last two days from the account where I received jolla account confirmation mail. But still I didnt get any update notification in my jolla. I m thinking that jolla has stopped update 9 as they are working on update 10 stable version for normal user.

@ossi1967 - you misunderstand because of my bad choice of words. I see how you read my comment now - I didn't mean a reply from Jolla as such, but the email Jolla sends to all those who volunteered for the opt-in, titled "New Sailfish OS update is here!" it also tells you about the Aloe TOH and your unique code. I assumed all Jolla customers who opted in, would have got the the same email.

Well, I got this email as well. But in this email they tell about the opt-in nature of the update containing a explanation how to get the update. So I think every Jolla user got that mail (btw: I still can't update and now - as commented above - I'm really pretty sure that I used the correct mail address as sender...)

@Markkyboy everybody has read your comment like ossi1967, since there is no other interpretation possible. But if you read (again) this Jolla's email you will see that it was obviously sent to all Jolla owners.

Anyway, cool that @naytsyrhc has now access to the update :)

@Markkyboy: Oh - that one. Yes, in this case I misunderstood. I received this mail as well, but before I opted in for update 9 (which I did only 2 days ago). It wasn't only meant for the brave ones. ;)

A reboot helped. Sorry that I didn't try that before.
