This post is a wiki. Anyone with karma >75 is welcome to improve it.
@andreibechet and I have gathered the results of the first "improvements" poll, namely additional features people are looking for in the email native client:
Here are the static results in full for Jolla to consider and see which features to prioritise on:
Native Email App: Top Feature Requests
Answer Votes Perc Search function 239 15% Ability to add email sender to contacts 179 11% Mark/delete mails in bulk (or option for all) from one account 156 9% Threaded view 131 8% PGP/GPG and S/MIME Support 121 7% Unable to Swype-out(go back) without zooming out 99 6% Copy/paste content on html formatted email doesn't work or very tricky 92 6% Move from one email to next/previous without having to go back to list 86 5% Signature at the end of current message, not in previous replied messages 76 5% See full headers 70 4% Option for read/write mails in text(only) mode 59 4% Better html formatted email handling 56 3% Text formatting when sending email (e.g. bold, italics) 53 3% Update speedup (sometimes it takes ages to update subfolder) 46 3% Select subfolders which should update automatically 43 3% Sending HTML formatted emails (configurable) 34 2% Possibility to search-on-type from Exchange GAL (Global Address List) 31 2% Checking selected subfolders for incoming mail (only possible with Inbox atm) 30 2% Disable top posting while answering mails 20 1% Fetch mails from account with more than one mail address 19 1% Check local maildir/mbox 4 0%
The sample size to date is 1,644 votes which I believe is a decent sample size for Jolla to seriously consider, so I hope this helps Jolla prioritise which needed email features are most important to the community.
