My device became slow for unknown reason. Up to the point that double-tap unlock was takes a second or two and was reacting to swipe then after a second or two too. So I rebooted phone, started Maps only and.. suddenly I saw a WhatsApp alert message on screen. A legal proper message (I just started using Mitakuuluu so Android app was telling WhatsApp can be used on one device only) except for that not a single Android app was started.

I am not sure if it's a bug or feature, but taking into account how much Android apps can slow the device down (speculation by me), I would really like Android VM not to be started unless I actually want it.

this was asked in the early days on IRC and what i heard was that the first android app would take something like 30 seconds to start if that were the case

So you are saying it has been confirmed that Android apps are preloaded on device startup?
