Any Chance that future products might incorporate AMD Products? They have a very nice lineup for mobile devices as well (and loads more graphic processing power)

I still hope 4G is part of the crowdsurf Jolla tablet - pretty much a must have for a tablet these days.

I don't get why you need it: just use your jolla phone a wifi router, and you need one sim/contracts less!

You can get several SIMs with one contract, and let's not kill both devices' batteries. LTE would make sense, but apparently this is not an option now.

It's all coming up on the jolla homepage:

Nothing especially surprising in the rest of the specifications, except the Quad Core CPU which is interesting because Intel is struggling to be relevant in the mobile world.

I signed up. In my excitement, I chose the wrong contribution (USD 199 instead of USD189) and forgot to add-in the shipping.

Intel are waving around wads of cash, desperate for design wins. It seems both Jolla and Nokia took the money and ran. Both will be paying miles below market price. There's simply no other way they'd do it ... especially as it's more work for a small company like Jolla - fully supporting a x86 device when their main business will always be ARM.

@midnightoil: I have no problem with Jolla and Nokia taking Intel's money! But to be fair to Intel, I've also tried out the XOLO X500 (Intel Atom) and it was pretty good, especially on battery life.

It's all about software! And connectivity with the environment too, of course. The key for success will be imho:

Sailfish 2.0 has to be really a jump from the actual version.
standard delivered apps have to be much more porwerful, e.g. thinking alone of the actual video player missing so many popular codecs... (and see all the together questions)
an ecosystem for apps, still missing it so badly
wireless TV and similar things

With those premises, I think it'll be a huge success. I already reserved mine, of course! Cheers
