Hello sailors,

I have read all specs from Jolla tablet, in my opinion:

Mandatory: - Bigger Screen at least 9'' - Bigger Micro SD at least 64GB

To improve: - connectivity (USB, DLNA) - Flash in Rear Camera

Nice specs: - CPU - 2 GB RAM DDR3 - 32GB ROM - 2Mpx front Camera

This is really a matter of preference, there's a market for both the smaller ones and the bigger ones. I like the smaller ones since 9-10" tablets are too big to hold in hand and too close to the laptop size so it's inconvenient to grab it from the bag. 7-8" sized ones are the soft spot for me and the current market seems to be leaning more on the smaller size so I think they're decision is good.

The basic problem of this question is that few possible solutions are offered already in the question.

For example, answering your own question with a comment poll for different screen sizes would be much better and let the community share their opinion better.

Please check guidelines-> https://together.jolla.com/question/4389/together-howto-question-answer-and-comment/ ;)

I'd prefer 7+" tablet as a first attempt. It's a perfect size. You can hold it comfortably, it's light and etc. Bigger tablets can be useful, but they are less portable. So Jolla can get to them, but not as a first step.

for me 7" brings next to no benefit when compared to the phone, it's only slightly smaller, not enough to change paradigm, allowing you to read a document or a webpage in portrait mode, without scrolling or straining your eyes!

As others said, there is a demand for both 7+" and bigger form factors like 9-10". The question is, which one should be made first, i.e. which one is more in demand. I vote for 7+".

I like it even bigger, 10 or even 12! Big screens are very good to watch movies, and surfing the net. They are perfect paired with a digitalizer pen (wacom for example). Really hope they will make two different sized tablet.

thats likely not feasable given Jolla as a small company. They'll do whatever size appeals to the majority/what panel they can get for the price

i think 12 inch tablets are coming (the MS surface 3 is a 1" screen), but i can't see a small company like jolla being able to lead the way.

Also, Jolla has said many times they want to be the software company, if you think there is a buisiness case for making AND SELLING a 12 inch tablet with sailfish on it, you can contact Jolla about licenseing Sailfish and go for it

At this size, then buy yourself a TV screen or use a laptop.

I agree that 7.x" isn't good enough for a tablet, But I think the sweet spot is at 9", or as google did it at 8.9" not bigger. Bigger is just too bulky to be useful!

People already put they money for a Jolla Tablet with published tech specs (total $888,662 USD at the moment). I'm one of them and the screen size 7.85" is perfect for me. It would not be fair to change that, although many other specs could be better (camera etc.).

Jolla Roadmapping Meeting - Friday 16.01.2015

Thank you for your contribution to the Jolla Tablet project!

We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now.

However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product/SW release.

Best regards,
The Jolla Tablet Team

Agree that the bigger screen is a "next version" suggestion. As an "older citizen" of the planet, who's eyes aren't what they once were, (and looking for a way to get away from paper music transcriptions), I really want something that can display a full page of material.
