jolla hardware should include a top-notch camera module, like n9 did. i use my phone (n9) also as camera. the quality is good, altough not as good as with dedicated cameras. but the image quality on the jolla phone (according to reviews) is disapointing and not enough to replace a dedicated camera for everyday use. 5MP might also not be enough.

We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now.
However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product/SW release.

I'm wondering about the placement of the back camera. Why not place it in the exact same position as ipad mini 3 so we could use many of the ipad mini 3 accessories. Size doesn't differ that much. I hope I don't need to create a casing for it myself.

Am getting fed-up with all the sub-standard cameras in so many phones nowadays. So far i only find the camera on the Nokia 909 (Lumia 1020) & 808 of any real standard, good enough to replace a point-shoot dedicated camera in many instances of casual (i.e. non-professional) photography. Even macro shots blown out show great detail when viewed on a larger PC monitor !
