Imobile ICICI banking application does not run on Jolla

Imobile is the ICICI banking application on android. Though it does not need the Google services but fails to run as the app needs to verify the phone no. The apk is available and installs ok, it first runs the GPRS test sucessfully, then it cant verify the phone no. and it is stuck. Any pointers or help on the above will be appreciated.

Sounds like Phone verification rely on Google services. Probably same functionality that is used in Hangouts to verify phone number.

I hope Jolla team looks into this. Just to put it in perspective, ICICI is one of the largest private bank and having its app running is essential for many of us, Indians. :-)

i have downloaded iMobile ICICI app, and its working fine without any trouble, only thing is you have to put registered number SIM in 1st slot.

It is not working for the original Jolla but it seems to be working for the Intex

       Same issue.. I tried with multiple updates of iMobile app but even it is not connecting to internet and no authentication process happening

Even with the Taalojarvi update though it states that sending of sms is allowed for android apps but this does not seem to be working
