Dear colleagues! We found information about Jolla project and your innovative approach to new mobile devices and applications in Internet and we are very interested in possible co-operation with Jolla.

We propose you to consider the issue of manufacturing a 12-channel electrocardiograph based on tablets and smartphones produced by Jolla. The device meets medical standards and can be used both in professional clinical work, and as an individual device used by the patient alone. Our TREDEX Company LLC has developed a working model of such electrocardiograph based on tablet using the circuit design, which we use in the manufacture of medical equipment. Jolla's TOH-conception is very good fundament for new telemed apps.

Now we are looking for brand like Jolla for co-operation in the sphere of new medical (telemedical) devices design based on their own tablets and smartphones.

A Jolla phone with an OtherHalf would probably be the best solution. The TOH would contain the interface and the phone would process the data, et cetera.

A phone with video-out capabilities could use a much larger display.

This can be a promising alternative business area to consider with Jolla devices & software.

Besides Jolla, it's known that the Nokia 909 (Lumia 1020) phones (due to the high end 41MP Zeiss based camera) are deemed by some medical practitioners as good enough to be deployed as portable microscopes in research work in some medical institutions.

It's indeed good to note of the commercial & industrial application potential as well for a device mainly conceived for the consumer market ! Whether Jolla or Nokia etc., such alternative business growth opportunities must not be wasted. It's worth at least some feasibility studies.

A lot of other devices are being developed based on Android, like incar devices, diagnostics etc etc, which are highly dubious because of Android insecurity. Tablets and smartphones are now at the stage of the early IBM PCs when it was discovered how cheaply and "easily" the hardware and software could be adapted for multiple devices. I would like to see many more devices based on something more secure than Android, like Jolla. I don't know if this is feasible because of the resources required and the fact that Android has a head start, but I would support other Jolla devices.

As a first responder I can also say I'd very likely be interested in an OH enabling me to monitor the patient, though I can also imagine it may be better to use some form of a bluetooth accessory just like the Corpuls 3 uses bluetooth to communicate between the parts. (Because then you can keep the phone/tablet by you and the acquiring electronics on the patient.)

Thanks for your respond. Our clients want to get small ECG device with tablet/smartfon in one housing. We have wireless solutions, but they are not based on bluetooth. We use only our own radiotelemetry because we need to be sure in its long term dependable operation. Bluetooth in this aspect is not the best choice.
