Why android app (Whatsapp) doesn't see the active/latest contacts? [duplicate]

For some reason my Mitakuuluu registration expired (but I was not banned) and after registering it I noticed that application doesn't show all the contacts I have.
I have removed the Whatsapp account several times now and finally decided to try also the Android version (official client) of the whatsapp and that does the same thing. The contacts I can see in Android Whatsapp are not the same I have in Jolla contacts shown by the people app.
I even removed all the contacts I had from my Mircrosoft Exchange sync and removed also all the linked contacts to ensure that I have only local contacts that I own the rights. But still the Android Whatsapp contacts list is not matching to the current state of the Jolla contatcs - What I am doing wrong? What should I try as next steps to get the Jolla contacts to be visible on Apps?

Based on these findings I will close this post as duplicate, but thanks for all the comments/hints on this post. They have helped me to right direction.
For me the Jolla local contacts became visible after I deleted to existing contact and recreated it via vcf file I had sent to myself by mms. I think this workaround is not correct way to handle this issue and more appropriate solution would need to be created to support the usage of the Android applications.
@Kari - Android Whatsapp was an option in settings to show/hide the contacts, since they have all your contacts in the server side, did you tried that ? for me even contacts I don't have for several years in my phone are there...

I have also deleted my whatsapp account with idea that it would delete everything like the warning says i.e. no data of deleted account can't be restored even if the account is re-created.
I wonder, if there are some parts of the previous whatsapp installation, that creates my condition. How to uninstall android app completely that nothing remains and check how to verify/check that uninstallation is really complete?

I wasn't banned for using Mitakuuluu, and now I regret changing to the official app... Also, notifications are not audible.
