Hi!

When you using any application incoming call minimizes it and coming in front. I think in this case it should be some kind of pop-up notification that you have incoming call.

EDIT: Make the callUI (not the dialer only the call itself) an overlay, so when it gets swiped away (minimized) the previous app will still be full-screen.

And then do what? Open the phone app manually to answer or reject the call? (Which, in turn, will of course minimize the running application...)

And then, f.e.if you want to answer, swipe out current app and see incoming call or press on the pop-up notification.

First of all, it is a phone. That is the desired behaviour - you can swipe out of the incoming call...

It is a smartphone. If I need just a phone I wouldn't buy Jolla for 300 euro. I think you are too hurried to close question. There are many applications that you don't want to be interrupted without your desires. F.e. navigation app, when you driving and you need to turn somewhere, but incoming call minimizes it, and so on...

Rephrasing, incoming call has No1 priority, that other applications should be back on top after rejecting or answering a call is already asked in other terms (back to previous app, unlock to previous app and so on) so either this is closed the one or the other way... and yes a smart phone is still a phone but I agree that if I am on the road with navigation on I actually need the device to go back to navigation as I am not allowed (by law) to handle the device while driving.

The solutions "back to previous app, unlock to previous app and so on" are also solutions, but it seems to me that f.e. pop-up menu (like network pop-up) with "answer" and "reject" (or just ignore) would be better. Maybe I am so unlucky, but I had already many situations when incoming call interrupting something important for me. Another case: I am writing a message and about to send it, but have incoming call. I want to answer, but first I want to send my message. In case of pop-up notification this is much easier. Another one: speaking in skype or another app interrupted by incoming call. One more: there are many online games for now and interrupting them makes you lose game. And this wouldn't change the priority of incoming call, you will see it anyway, but it would be a good improvement of multitasking.

I re-opened and altered the question, I don't think that a notification would do the job as you easily tap somewhere and start struggling to get the actual call back up, an overlay instead could be swiped away just like you can open and close the events-view without having the current app minimized (swipe from bottom). Is that what you mean? I hope I got it right, it is still your question so alter it until it fits your needs but please keep in mind that basic features like a phone call need to stay as simple as possible and accidental actions are in no-go land (popup notification like connection request)

Yes,thank you! Using such overlay is a great idea!
