I'd really like to be able to mount LUKS containers living on a microSD card on the Jolla Tablet - this is my killer feature that would make Sailfish more appealing than un-rooted Android.
Apologies if this support is already in place on Mers, Sailfish, etc - I understand that cryptsetup packages exist on Mers but it's not clear what level of support / capability there is for LUKS containers.

where internal storage may cover your request already (what else would you use than LUKS?)
Hardly a solid answer - every feature question I ask doesn't get a straight answer. I'm going to wait a couple more years on Jolla / Sailfish until there is an actual well-understood product in use.
