You are trying to game the system. That discount is meant for a distributor.

@chemist Yeah, exactly! I don't really see any meaningful difference between a group buy and being a distributor.

exactly ... distributors don't pay Jolla for the tablets twice - once to buy them and then a commission on top of it. either they buy them from Jolla and keep the money, or they sell them on behalf of Jolla and keep a commission, not both.

I could be tempted. How were you going to organize the purchase and distribution among the group?

Well, I guess someone of us has to take the perk. I'd assume that the money needs to be collected from everyone, and then in May the tablets need to be distributed... Picked up or sent via dhl or similar. We are 3-4 people. But it seems that interest is low, obviously... We need to be 20. and less than 24 hours to go...

Mh, okay then.

I guess with more takers this may have worked. But in the end, you have to take a risk and go through all the hassle for a discount of ~30€ on a device you won't even get for half a year or more. Meh...

Also, I am not sure how this would affect the warranty? Double meh...

That makes 5-6. I stand by my previous statement of "meh".

Still biting my nails whether to get in on the regular perk, though... Especially since I can't see Jolla meeting the target price of $249 for those rather high end specs. I have a feeling it may be more than that in the end.
