Why can't we have FM transmitters on our Jolla phone? [subjective]

While it's unfortunate that the wiring was missed, you have to admit that it's pretty damn open to admit so on a public forum. I don't think any other mobile manufacturer would be that respectful - you'd just get silence...

@Andy Branson: Yes, I very much appreciate the openness. Also, I suppose it's their first hardware design for a smartphone, so of course there are oversights, and I'm willing to cut them a lot of slack for that. That said, it really really would have been nice to have both FM receiver and transmitter, as well as USB OTG, and it's not that much effort on the hardware side (a few additional passive components and connections). So it's still a pity.

So there's a fully working receiver and all that's missing is either a wire to headphone jack (so headphones transform into antenna) or just a small wire (as direct antenna) ? Has anyone tried to solder that yet (doesn't sound like rocket science to solder one wire at one spot) ?

@V10lator: In my understanding, what's missing is not just a wire, but the passive elements (resistors, capacities, ...) as well, because usually RF inputs/outputs of chips require these. You can't just "solder those on".
