One of the uses for my phone is as an alarm clock when away from home.

When I setup the time and date to automatically update. This worked OK when there was a mobile connection. However, when there is no mobile signal, the clock fails to update and loses accuracy - i.e. lost days and wrong time.

I therefore disabled the automatic update and it keeps rough time.

On my previous phone, a n900, I set it to auto update and it then maintained accurate time for years whether it had a mobile phone connection, internet connection or no connection at all.

How do I set it up so that it synchronised time when it can and then maintains the time correctly until it is next synched again?

I am using 1.0.8.21
