I'm new to jolla and I know little about jolla internals.

I've found out that lipstick and mce programs take lots of CPU time. And i would like to investigate.

Are the lipstick and mce programs shipped in jolla phone and programs https://github.com/nemomobile/lipstick and https://github.com/nemomobile/mce the same programs? Or jolla wrote its own replacement?

If they are the same, how can I find out what exactly revision jolla uses? Does jolla version have any patches on top of nemomobile version? I would like to compile them and investigate what code burns CPU cycles.

They are the same. Check the branches for Jolla update specific, or the version tags

https://github.com/nemomobile/lipstick/tree/update10

https://github.com/nemomobile/lipstick/tree/update9

https://github.com/nemomobile/mce/commits/master (check the tags and dates)
