many android process still working on jolla even you shut down the aps. after a reboot i still receiving a viber calls?? !!! even I use aliendalvic stop, the android aps apear after using any aps I'm really uncomfortable, why it connects alone? I really dont want androshit encrusted like that! we bought the jolla to avoid all that. in principle at the last android application, aliendalvic closes automatically. I do not need to download applications each time to click on icons to close these processes!!!

Seconded! I'd like a "alien dalvik task manager" to be able to definitively manage and terminate android apps! Anyone interested in making me one? :)

Maybe I can tell how that's going on. At the very beginning of Sailfish OS there were a sandbox (alien-dalvik) where Android-Apps where running in. So users shouted for being able to use Android-Apps like usual, so they started to connect Sailfish with the Sandbox for enabling contacts, pictures etc. to Androis-App. Alien-Dalvik works like this: Every App has it's own process but this process is started once the alien-dalvik is started. If you stop Alien-Dalvik the processes are stopped a well. But if you start an Android-App, Alien-Dalvik is started with all the background-processes which enables whatapps for example. Maybe have a look at Lighthouse there you can see processes running. In my case if I close whatsapp I'm not receiving messages anymore but didn't figure out with viber...

I prefere the old version of aliendalvic where all the android aps can evoluate in the same space. We should have to chose between the maner to connect to android or have a task to manage the settings of alien dalvic!! I think it is a great problem
