If I connect to the WLan on trains from öbb (austria), a agree and proceed sheet will be presented. For the internet to work, one have to klick agree. But before I can click the button, sailfishos says there is no internet connection and even if I click it afterwards, the wlan icon with the excamation mark in the middle does not go away.

The effect of this is, that some apps (like Friends) do not connect to the internet, although its running.

Turning wlan off and on again, as it works some other places (workaround), does not work in the trains, because it does not remember me and I have to klick agree again.

Version: 1.1.0.39

similar problem I solved by unchecking/checking the affected wifi - not wifi in general
also only a workaround

That is exactly like turning wlan off and on again. This does not work with the ÖBB wlan access.

I'm not sure if I have exactly the same problem (usually I just leave 3g on), but I remember ÖBB Wifi being a particular challenge. I also have to say, though, that I never got it working nicely with the N9 or the N900, either. It did, at times, but then dropped connections, refused to re-connect, all sorts of troubles. I also remember that once I was connected, it was slow as hell so I didn't bother solving the issue.

@renegade22 for me it's not the same, one is turning wifi off completely. the other remains wifi active, it searches for another configured network. but doesn't matter, if it's not working ;-)

I have a related problem with wifi captive portals in 1.1.0: https://together.jolla.com/question/61383/11039-problems-with-wifi-captive-portal/

With the newest update (opt-in/pre-10) my problems regarding connecting to the wifi on the Railjet and other networks which require approval via a webpage seem to be gone. If you don't have the update yet just try it, if you already updated: I did a whole system reset, after that 'everything' worked ...

Did you try a complete wipe of the phone (reset) and start with a fresh OS. This helped for me. I know it is uncomfortable though :(
