i don't really like the naming, but remote assistence seems nice but who's gonna assist? jolla devs don't have time for this. otoh, there's people requesting vnc access... isn't that good enough?

is a idea/request if not yet planned

vnc server on jolla is ok as soon is connected to Internet,

but how do you assist him/her if your remote user don't know the basis and not yet connected to Internet(hard reset) just need assistance step by step it easy if at local you have the simulator jolla on pc/mac for help basic setting for access Internet

Best should have the server at jolla with public acccess for private use to simulator jolla phone or professional usage at office server with their custom config :-)

The SailfishOS SDK has a simulator (actually, a virtual machine running the SailfishOS). It is shipped with only a minimal OS image, but in principle, it could be used for what you want to do, you just need to install the missing packages on it (the trick is that it is i486 based, so normal jolla packages will not work).
