is there any similar native application to midnight commander available on jolla?

You'll find midnight commander compilation in correct architecture (armv7hl) on fedora pages... here. I tried to install it both with rpm and pkcon but there were some dependencies that would require further digging...

I did a two-paned filemanager, Cargo Dock. It's currently awaiting QA at Harbour.

Oh, I thought he might mean terminal (to e.g. use it through PuTTy). If you want you can use Total Commander. Not native, but e.g. images are opened in the Sailfish gallery application so it seem to integrate nicely.

If you mean MC itself, propose to add it to Nemo or Mer repositories. It's not touch friendly at all, but can be useful when you log into the system through ssh.

mc is available in Warehouse, try to search "midnight commander", not just mc.
