How to build and debug buteo-sync-plugin-caldav on phone?

As described here, I have still a hard time syncing my Jolla calendar with my Owncloud server. Luckily, the sync plugin sources are open source and available on github: https://github.com/nemomobile/buteo-sync-plugin-caldav
So instead of whining and complaining I though I'd give it a shot and try to find the error. However, I have no experience developing for Sailfish OS. Ideally, I'd like to build the latest sources from github directly on the phone -- are there any FAQs or HowTos available?
If anybody could point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated :)
@gehowa - you should use the Sailfish SDK for that and not try to build this in the phone.
VDVsx ( 2015-01-05 13:54:32 +0300 )edit@VDVsx well, last time I used SailfishOS SDK I couldn'd find any reference to the calendar/sync API. Do far Jolla's sources have not been helpfull on how to program anything related to PIM-Apps.

PIM-Apps are the biggest limitations for me and I hardly see any progress on them. Community may help with 3rd party apps or extensions but Jolla do not provide essential information on how to interact with their data bases / frameworks.
