Well, how do I explain this, I think keyboard is missing this two keys < and > whenever I am typing sometimes I want to go back or forth only a letter but it is a case of 'hit or miss' since sometimes I need to press finger exactly where I want to not delete and then retype the whole sentence again... Or it is a way already of doing this?

Press once for positioning of the cursor, than push and hold it and pull it to the wished place (it will zoom in a little to make it easier to put the cursor in the right place).

If developer mode is enabled and you are open for some tweaking, keyboard layouts are very easy to modify, e.g. here are English and German keyboards variants with arrow keys (and slightly modified keyboard layouts) - but you can easily roll your own.

See also this older thread and my suggestion to use right and left swipes on the keyboard to move the cursor right or left: https://together.jolla.com/question/656/keyboard-bugschangesideas/#10373

It would be great if one could move the cursor when dragging a finger horizontally on the keyboard.

You can try to magnify. It works in (most?) standard text input fields except for the browser:

Place the cursor near the text you want to edit. Then, after you've lifted your finger again, touch the screen a second time at the cursor position with a swipe left or right. (Don't just tap and hold, otherwise you'll select and copy.) This will magnify the text input field and you can drag the cursor around easily and with good precision.

It takes a while until you find the right movement for the second touch that initiates the magic, but once you master it, it's a good solution.

https://together.jolla.com/question/9704/feature-request-fine-tune-cursor-position-while-text-editing/ As pointed above, its already possible and even mentioned in user guide as treasure.

Even i struggled to activate what i discovered accidentally. :-) Feel one intuitive way to implement this would be to pinch and zoom like how one zooms a picture while viewing an image. Another way, my colleague showed me in his Android phone, it can be achieved using Volume + / - button. Unsure, whether it fits Jolla UX design. Just thought, will share it. The current functionality definitely needs improvement, IMO.
