Hi sailors, @simo @eric @bijjal i have found a problem on askbot by jolla.

On the jolla askbot website seems to be a problem when we try to write to someone with the @ character if the Nickname is the same as the other one but in Capital. For example a system admin has the nickname as eric (all letter are small), And an other one (something new) has the 1st in Capital as Eric.

The problem was for me, most of the time to reach the eric (all small), i wrote all letters in small, and automatically the system has corrected with the first as capital, and attribute the link to the other one which has the E in capital.

With this problem some people sometimes could not be aware of some request from other people. The system bumps the wrongs person Goes for my part really on the nerves... 80% from my requests went to the wrong person. I don't if it is a bug or a concept problem.

I have open a wiki question in askbot question website, about this problem.

You can follow this theme or change/ improve this if you want. You're welcome

The same is for simo, now there is someone with the Twin name Uppercase Simo. Has someone any idea to force the up/lo case?

Edit 20-01-2017: Problem is still here. For example in this thread i tried to communicate a message to chris adams, and goes to the wrong person (how boring it is!!!).

Best regards

I tested this, and you're right that there is a problem. When I type @ followed by eric, the e is not corrected to uppercase, but when I type @ followed by Eric, the E is changed to lowercase.

(There seems to be no user named Eric here, but there is Eric C. When trying to tag him, it goes to eric instead.)

@Simo there is a little problem bound to your nickname. if you read this thread, maybe you could understand the situation.
Before you register here, there was already someone, and admin person which has simo too but lowercase. And the askbot machine seems not to differentiate between the both of you. And if we try to post with simo lowercase, it change automatically with Uppercase, and send unfortunately to you.
That's a bug on the server side.
May i ask you to make a little change on your nickname? so that you don't get messages on your mail box which are not dedicated to you. That it could go to the right person?
Thanks you very muchin advance for your understanding.
