Contacts don't sync two ways
I have activated my Outlook and Google account on Jolla for using contacts. But all the numbers I have added manually are not updated to google or Outlook.
This has led to me losing my contacts.
I enabled sync two way under both accounts.
I've noticed that adding a new local contact will be synced to google but editing a contact will only edit the local linked contact, not the synced contact, check the contacts links confirms this. Agoogle only contact will when editing get a locally linked contact and the is the one sailfish edits.

VDVsx ( 2015-01-05 14:29:49 +0200 )edit@VDVsx I can't speak for the thread opener, but I can confirm this behavior ever since I got my Jolla in March 2014. And I am running the latest OS. The sync issue with Google is described in this thread also: https://together.jolla.com/question/45961/two-way-syncronization-of-google-contacts-not-working-properly/
moosiqpipl ( 2015-01-05 14:57:50 +0200 )editYes, the Sync is a mess at the moment. I really hope they fix it soon, because this is really a basic functionality in 2015.
MichaelSD ( 2015-01-05 22:04:41 +0200 )editI ran into the same issue; editing a synced Outlook.com contact creates a local contact with the same name and the new bit of information you wanted to add, then links it with the synced contact. Thus, the synced contact isn't actually modified, so there is nothing to sync to the server. After realizing this, I've set the contacts sync to "device only" and now only modify the contact data via Outlook.
Is this local-clone-linking behaviour intentional? It seems completely idiotic, as it practically makes the People app read-only.
