Hi Sailors,

please correct the following translations:

Display während dem Laden eingeschaltet lassen

into

Display während des Ladens eingeschaltet lassen

(Der Dativ ist dem Genitiv sein Tod ^.^)

Furthermore Display is translated four times with "Display" and one time with "Bildschirm". It would be better to use the same translation in every occasion. Edit: Maybe not, I realized that maybe it depends on whether we are talking about the hardware or about general display options...

(BTW "Bildschirm" is the correct german term for the hardware part and "Anzeige" is the generic term which can be used for nearly all meanings of display and is the german translation we can find e.g. in Windows control center)

cheers

I agree with the first translation, but I think "Display" is meanwhile a fully accepted word in the german language and much better than "Bildschirm".

Yes, it needs to be "während des Ladens", thank you for spotting this @mgebler. Not so sure about Display vs. Bildschirm, though. Yes, it's good to stick with one term and not mix them. I'd personally prefer "Display", though. It's often used with small electronic devices sich as phones, tablets, cameras,... "Bildschirm" makes me think of a larger unit such as the monitor on my desk. (It's true, though, that this difference is more subjective than anything else. A dictionary will translate it to "Bildschirm" no matter what.)

I agree, nearly everybody will understand Display. Nevertheless - in a broader view - it would appear kind of fresh to me if one frees oneself from the "Marketing-Sprache" which mindlessly uses english terms wherever possible. But that's another discussion ;-)

Or just "Display beim Laden eingeschaltet lassen" (which would be a little less formal than "während des Ladens"). And yes, please stick with "Display", it is commonly used for mobile devices, while "Bildschirm" more often refers to desktop monitors (and even on the desktop, it's rather an old CRT box than a flat TFT display or similar).

HI, Thanks for your feedback! We have now corrected the string to be "Display beim Laden eingeschaltet lassen". The change will be visible in the next release.
