Maybe this would be helpful for the tablet team: Petition for 64Bit firmware on Atom based tablets:

The Jolla tablet isn't affected by this, as this only concerns first generation baytrail tablet (like Dell Venue 8 Pro). The Jolla tablet already got 64Bit UEFI.

As I understood from https://blog.jolla.com/jolla-tablet-hardware-adaptation-team-day-zero-bootstrapping/ the hardware can be booted 64 bit (because of 64Bit UEFI, right Morpog) but then you need to stay in 32 bit userland because of missing 64 bit userland firmware. Ok - the petition acts mainly for UEFI updates, then: Just leave the post as an information and not more.

UEFI and kernel are 64-bit indeed. Also, http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTY0OTI

@Stskeeps: please explain what is missing to have the whole machine work 64 bit. What is manufacturer-missing to get it run full 64bit?

Android drivers, right? Ok, then you will not have a chance to push a special petition for the tablet's problems. Sorry.
