Please add or replace here service by Mozilla location service.
As I belief in openness and I prefer not to be tracked by the big companies this would be a great step.

In other threads it has been noticed that support for Mozilla Location Services are installable on Jolla 1 and possibly come with some other SailfishOS devices.
The procedure is pkcon refresh, pkcon install geoclue-provider-mlsdb, and if you live in AU/FI/IN, geoclue-provider-mlsdb-data-CC (where CC is country code) for offline position lock from Mozilla location services mobile phone tower information (I was warned that it's currently outdated).
After that I rebooted the phone, but it might not be necressary and in Settings --> Location the pulley menu now contains Show Mozilla agreement in addition to Show HERE agreement and MLS can be enabled by selecting Custom settings and going to Custom settings and checking the two check boxes. The offline data requires installing geoclue-provider-mlsdb-data-CC or it won't do anything.

A GeoClue provider using Mozilla Location Service seems to be in the works: https://github.com/mer-hybris/geoclue-providers-mlsdb. It's using Mozilla's API directly, but also seems to be able to use offline data (currently only for Finland, Australia and India). It's already documented in the Sailfish OS wiki, under Cellular Positioning.

I don't think they would "replace" as such but please Jolla please do provide us an option to "choose" . Freedom and Privacy are very important factors in choosing Jolla phone.
