[bug] Android backspace key inserts new characters in text fields

Go to together.jolla.com and try posting a reply
Type some sample text like 'the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy cow'
press the backspace key and attempt to delete the sentence.
you will find that it is impossible to completely delete the sentence. new words or characters keep getting added to existing words. this doesn't seem to affect smaller length words.
This bug still exists in the current update.
