Can't use 3g or make calls after using maps application

Hi,
It seems every time I use the maps app, my mobile connection breaks without recovery. I try to disable and re-enable the data connection but it does nothing. Occasionally I get the "connection problems" message on screen, though not every time. Also, some times the mobile data icon just can't be enabled after disabling it. This doesn't happen immediately after starting the maps app, but after a few minutes. Rebooting the phone restores connectivity.
I had the phone in that state a few minutes ago, and when I tried to make a call, it stayed silent for a couple of minutes and then I heard the busy tone. It's the same for every number.
Now after rebooting the phone I can call just fine, and the data connection also working.
I can reproduce this every time so if there's any additional information I need to gather to fix it please let me know.
