Hello,

Please add Lithuanian letters to all Latin keyboards, esp. English which is shown on long-press of a letter:

  • Aa - Ąą
  • Cc - Čč
  • Ee - Ęę, Ėė
  • Ii - Įį
  • Ss - Šš
  • Uu - Ųų, Ūū
  • Zz - Žž

Recently you made ž available with Finish keyboard, but I do not know any Lithuanian who is speaking Finish, while I know almost everybody speak English..

Thank you!

Why would Lithuanian letters need to be in all keyboard layouts? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to use Lithuanian layout when typing Lithuanian? And though I don't know why it's relevant, only 38% of Lithuanians speak English, not almost everybody (page 21).

Because they are generic letters which can go with any Latin layout. But only Finish was introduced with one usable character... Lithuanian-only layout would not make any sense, because there is no UI in Lithuanian, no spelling checks, no as-you-type suggestions. Most Lithuanian, I am 100% sure use either Russian UI with English keyboard layout or English UI with English keyboard layout. I currently have two keyboard layouts - English and Russian. p.s. that EU report is BS: every Lithuanian I know speak English..and I know over 1000 of them...20% of them live in the UK as emigrants. :)

So can we have a Lithuanian keyboard layout? Most Linux distributions have it. A lot of languages already have the characters, e.g. Polish, Czech, Finish, etc. The idea is like in Linux - copy US English layout, add Lithuanian letters on long press and name the layout "Lithuanian".

if this is somehow open source and community driven, I could help if I had some info on how to contribute.
