Usually, while charging the phone, the white fix LED means "in charge" and white blinking LED means "full charged".

With the 1.1.1.27, while charging the phone, the LED indicator is white but always on, also if the battery is full charged

is it a bug or you done it purpose?

Should be blinking when charging and steady when it's done. Like every electronic devices in the world :)

It's always been like this (at least since whenever it was they implemented the LED breathing) on the Jolla device, so it's not anything new to the latest update. I agree that it makes little sense.

but mine is always on in both cases ( charging and charged )

Oh sorry, I misread. It blinks when finished in my case, so I don't think anything was changed in the update. Can you try the CSD tool and do the LED test to see if everything tested there works correctly? (Enter 'csd' in a terminal, or type ##310## in the phone dialer.)

CSD test result: ok

the led work fine, exept for battery charge

The charging related leds are directly based on battery state as reported by upowerd:

  • 1 / "Charging" -> static white led
  • 4 / "Fully charged" -> breathing white led

Ref: http://upower.freedesktop.org/docs/Device.html#Device:State

Having (possibly rounded up) battery level of 100% does not mean it is fully charged.

Other parts of the sw stack already use statefs battery properties instead of raw upower state, so there might be differences in how other indications behave around battery full. The long term plan is that LED control too should use statefs properties to achieve more consistent behavior in this and similar corner cases.

@Makeclick: Note that initially we did not have the ability to breathe the led. Which would have meant full intensity on/off blinking every time charger was connected -> we decided to use the less disturbing static pattern when the device is "just charging" and the more active one when charging is finished (i.e. when user should disconnect the charger).

I also had the case, that LED was always on while battery says 100%, but half an hour later it was then blinking, so seems charging was not completely finished, even when shown 100%.

So there is a SW problem with blinking of led or BME that mark 100% otherwise is less.

So 100%=/=full !

Even more than this: I had two different fill level that time: when the phone was switched on, it said 100%, then I shutdown the phone and there it said something like 80% if I remember correctly. (when the charger is connected to the phone, you get a screen showing the battery fill level, even if the phone is switched of.) So it seemed to me, there are two different fill level, one "hardware based level" maybe directly reported by a chip in the battery, and one "software based level", interpreted by some software running on Sailfish. But I left the charger connected, until the charging process finished, and then both levels had 100%. And I never had that situation again.
