Edit: Seems to me this is fixed, at least it's working better for me now. Closing!

Launch Gallery and Camera. Take a picture with Camera, then switch to Gallery.

The newly taken picture isn't there. Did I really take the picture? Was it saved?

Wait for >10 seconds. The new picture shows up.

I guess it takes a while for the tracker to register the new picture. From a user's perspective, this is bad; you should be able to immediately see the photo you just took. (You can see it immediately if you swipe from the Camera app, but in the Gallery app there's a delay.)

Do others see this delay?

If the Gallery app isn't up to date with the photos taken, it should at least show a signal "updating" or something like that. Or there should be some "shortcut" for the Gallery app so it would know immediately when new photos are taken.

Agreed, it takes too long to wait them appear in Galllery.

Maybe you already know: The Camera app is also able to display images. You simply have to pull to the right to display the latest picture and there you have the same options as in the Gallery app. In this way there is no delay to wait for the picture. Maybe this helps you a bit as a workaround. Nevertheless, I agree with your proposal that the behavior of the Gallery app should be improved.

@szobi Seems that OP is aware of that cause your suggestion is already mentioned in the original question description.

@jjaone You're right. Seems that I read over that. Sorry!

I agree, this is REALLY annoying and confusing.
