I used to put some notes within certain contact details with my N9 and they were pushed correctly to my Google account, but People app in my Jolla doesn't even show them. It would be nice to add notes to contact details as well as sync them with supported online services.

Looks like duplicate or addition to my question here

Yes, your question is much broader than mine. But I think that notes in contacts should not be a custom field but a default one.

Reopening because NOTE is part of the vCard standard.

Generally speaking, compatibility to Google (if we like it or not) is a must for market penetration. No Googlian will consider a Jolla without havng the possibility to sync it's data.

workaround, if you have a XA2: Aliendalvik Control let's you open 'android contacts' which has a notes field. Not sure if this will display only synced google contacts, or if it will show any synced contacts source.

And exactly this is what I do not want. Giving Android full access to my notes about people. I do not know what contact data is transferred to Google/Whatsup/and so on but I assume the worst, full data of phone book.

One reason to have two devices. One for my private phone book (with notes) -should be on SFOS, but not possible yet. And one pestered with one of these privacy robbery services-you cannot get around them.

agreed, a real notes field in Sailfish would make much more sense in many respects.
