I was recording a video, but the phone shut down during filming. Is that file anywhere to be found? [answered]

Truncated or in anything temporary form to maybe recover it? Or is it that only when pressing the Stop the video file is created? I would really need to have this video i was recording, to attempt making that file usable somehow.

Any possibility?

@rudi. I don't think there will be anything. I tried pulling battery off when recording and sadly .recording is empty. Hope this isn't the case for LinuxJollaIRC.

@Sandoz
did you check the folder during recording? I tried this, there was a mp4 - I guess it will not be deleted during a crash

@rudi Yes! The video is there. Thanks a bunch! Now, the only question remains through what program to recover it playable... I tried to copy that .mp4 on my desktop machine and VLC nor SMPlayer do not play it.

@LinuxJollaIRC there will be something to repair mp4's - google shows lots of hits, good luck

I have found video files (.mp4) of interest in this hidden folder. However, they are corrupt. Any way to fix these, or, simply extract any part(s, line a few frames?)?
