I was using the android app HERE for navigation in my car. Every time it loses the mobile internet connection the "Choose internet connection" dialog appears. It is very annoying if you are using your Jolla as a navigation device because the dialog stays there until you tip somewhere on the screen. And the dialog pops up every some seconds again and again until the mobile connection is back again. Is there a way to turn of that it aggressively asks for a WLAN if mobile connection gets lost? Maybe the problem is the HERE map which demands internet connection?

With the next update (u11) the dialog should not be as aggressive as it is with the current one (u10).

That is great news. Hope I can use my Jolla as a navigation device in my car soon. HERE works like a charm and positioning is very precice. Haven't tried yet what's happening if I turn of Wifi manually before navigation. I'll check if that fixes the problem temporally.

Is it somewhere documented how this works? If there is no known (previously configured) WLAN available and no cellular data, the dialogue should not appear at all. If there is no WLAN but cellular, cellular should be selected without dialogue. If there is a known WLAN available, it should be selected instead of cellular. Actually only if there is a new WLAN and no known WLAN available, or multiple known WLANs, a dialogue for selection should appear.

But it should be possible to turn it off at all. Because especially in the scenario of car navigation it can happen that unknown wifi connections are in range (near buildings or even if you pass by a travel bus with a mobile hotspot ;-))

@Sören: Right, there should be a setting "Offer unknown WLANs". If this is turned off, the dialogue should not appear if new WLANs found, but the device should automatically select e.g. your home WiFi, if in reach.

@Sören Until release u11 you can try out @Leinad´s answer to this question

Notice that you have to enable GPS again after entering flightmode. Maybe that positioning is not so much exactly because there is no cellular signal available.
