MMS needs to "tap to download" since 1.1.1.27 Vaarainjärvi [answered]

The latest update (1.1.1.27 Vaarainjärvi) changed the mms settings on my Jolla so that I now need to "tap to download" the photo before I can view it. It's nothing uncomfortable, the photo does download every time, it's just that before the update the photos didn't need to be downloaded manually.

I did not have the voluntary update between the official ones, so the update was rather major for my Jolla. I use Saunalahti as my operator, so the carrier (or whatever it is called by ones understanding more) is Elisa.

So far I've tried to reboot the phone and both sending and receiving mms's with no impact.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to return to days where mms's were downloaded by default, not manually?

Yup, automatic download selected. Perhaps in need of refresh, need to check.

Needed the settings and a reboot to get the mms' download automatically. A step-by-step instruction if someone else experiences the same:

  1. Go to Settings - Apps - Messages (as suggested by @nudi earlier).
  2. If Download MMS automatically is already activated, unactivate it.
  3. Reboot phone.
  4. Go to Settings - Apps - Messages again and activate the Download MMS automatically.

Got mine working like to good old Jolla again. :)

I did the exact steps, and still have to tap to download the mms.

It doesn't help. Still required to click on MMS for download... Although occasionally loaded for some reason...
