Currently, the "from" is taken from the receiving account automatically. However, I need it to be taken from the "from" account.

Long story short ... I have multiple accounts, one for each device and mail gets sorted so the most important stuff comes to my hip and the least important waits at my workstation. However, every device sends from the same account, so that it looks to the sender that it is just "me," no matter what device I'm using.

Hence I need it to append the "from" from the SMTP setting rather than the POP3 setting.

Also, I don't seem to be able to change the "descriptive name" of the e-mail account.

My mail sends as my first name. This needs to be an option. Agreed.

The descriptive name for an email account can be configured if you go back to the settings for accounts and tap on the text box displayed at the top for an account. I think you can also configure it right after you set up an account.

Should be all possible now in 1.0.8.19, Tahkalampi. If there's still something missing please comment here.
