Hi I noticed that when i open an e-Mail with some photos attached they automatically download in my gallery in the Photos Folder but I don't want to have them there! Why is my e-Mail downloading all the photos from the read messages to my gallery?

mail attachments are stored in /home/nemo/Downloads/mail_attachments. if you don't want to see them in your gallery, created a file '.nomedia' in that folder. after next run of tracker, they will not be visible in gallery anymore

won't that just create a hidden folder where the content will nevertheless be downloaded to a certain moment when the memomy space gets full? if so that is not a solution. then it should be some kind of temp folder and the data gets frequently cleaned...

that creates only a hidden file, preventing the folder from being indexed.
the folder is created/used by the mail program - I never checked, how housekeeping works there. but (I hope) the files will be deleted, if the corresponding mail will be deleted
but this is another question ;-)

email attachments get downloaded from all emails no matter what the settings are, that is the bug he is referring to - I just found that it downloads all including those I just sent when I check my outbox but I described the same bug - that they show up in the gallery is normal but what you'd expect is that you only see those you actually checked upon

it's somehow similar to my problem but the other topic is so old it makes me a bid sad that such an obvious bug is still not fixed i hope that soon this will come

there are alot of "minor" bugs that are pretty old, I thing we should get jolla to change "minor" to "priority" after a specified amount of time - no real bug should be open for 6 months - but on the other hand I doubt that. Email is working in general and I think they are concentrating on more important parts and leave the email client as-is for the better part

i guess I am so much used to my N9 and the things which worked, because if they were working they were brilliant. and now i expect the same behavior from my Jolla like it should be natural to work the same way as the N9. On the other hand i love my Jolla so, as you say the things work in general and i'm not disappointed or mad almost at all :)
